Gefühlt ist momentan abseits vom Coronavirus wenig Platz für andere Inhalte. Trotzdem finde ich diese Geschichte von „The Intercept“ über die chinesische Social Media Plattform Tik Tok äußerst lesenswert und lege sie jedem ans Herz. Darin wird beschrieben, wie die Plattform mit unliebsamen Inhalten umgeht und welche Werte dort wichtig sind.

Warum ist das wichtig? Laut www.saferinternet.at nutzen 42% der österreichischen Jugendlichen Tik Tok – es ist die am schnellsten wachsende Social Media Plattform des Landes.

Überwachungskapitalismus

Heute spricht Prof. Shoshana Zuboff (Harvard Business School) in Wien. Sie hat vor kurzem das Buch „The Age of Surveillance Capitalism: The Fight for a Human Future at the New Frontier of Power“ geschrieben.

Obwohl der Titel etwas reißerisch klingt, sind ihre Thesen äußerst interessant & relevant – im angehängten Artikel gibt’s mehr Infos.
